• Mobile number — used to verify your identity via OTP
• Name — displayed to neighbours on your listings and messages
• Block, unit, and estate — used to scope your feed to your neighbourhood
• Listing content — photos, titles, descriptions you submit
• Messages — conversations between buyers and sellers on the platform

3. How We Use Your Data

• To verify your identity and create your account
• To show your listings to neighbours in your estate
• To enable messaging between buyers and sellers
• To send push notifications you have opted into
• To detect and prevent abuse or fraud

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following services to operate Nearblok:

• Twilio — OTP delivery via SMS and WhatsApp
• Supabase — secure database and file storage (hosted in Singapore/Asia region)
• Vercel — web hosting and delivery
• Anthropic (Claude) — AI-assisted listing description (photo content only, not personal data)

Each provider has their own privacy policy and handles data in accordance with applicable laws.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Listings are retained until you close or delete them. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us.

6. Your Rights

Under the PDPA, you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Correct any inaccurate data
• Withdraw consent and request deletion of your data

7. Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), row-level security on our database, and phone-verified accounts. No system is completely secure — please contact us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify users of material changes via the app. Continued use after changes are posted constitutes acceptance.
