Terms of Service

1. About Nearblok

Nearblok is a neighbourhood marketplace platform for HDB residents in Singapore. It allows verified residents to buy, sell, and give away items within their estate community. Nearblok is operated by its founders and is currently in beta.

2. Eligibility

You must be a resident of a participating HDB estate in Singapore to use Nearblok. By registering, you confirm that the block and unit you provide is your genuine residential address. We reserve the right to suspend accounts where this cannot be verified.

3. Your Account

You are responsible for all activity on your account. Up to 3 accounts may be registered per residential unit. You must not create accounts on behalf of others without their knowledge. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

4. Listings

You may only list items you own and have the right to sell or give away. Listings must be accurate and not misleading. Prohibited items include anything illegal under Singapore law, counterfeit goods, weapons, drugs, and adult content. Nearblok reserves the right to remove any listing at its discretion.

5. Transactions

Nearblok is a platform for connecting neighbours — we are not a party to any transaction between users. All arrangements (price, meetup, handover) are between buyer and seller. Nearblok takes no commission and accepts no liability for disputes, lost items, or failed transactions.

6. Community Standards

Be respectful. Do not use Nearblok to harass, scam, or deceive other users. Do not post spam or use the platform for commercial advertising. Violations may result in immediate account suspension.

7. Limitation of Liability

Nearblok is provided on an "as is" basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service, accuracy of listings, or the conduct of other users. To the fullest extent permitted by Singapore law, Nearblok shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform.

8. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of Nearblok after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

9. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Singapore. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore.
